Tim began working as an ECG technician at Hearts 1st in Brisbane in 1998. He started echo training at Hearts 1st and completed his DMU (cardiac) in 2001. Here he also trained in exercise and Dobutamine stress echo and was part of the echo training programme, training students and echo research fellows.

From 2005 Tim moved to the UK to travel and work. He took a permanent position as Head of Echocardiography at Cambridge University Hospital in 2008. He was responsible for the set up and implementation of stress echo, TOE and CRT services as well as an echocardiography training programme. He guided the lab to gaining British Society of Echo laboratory accreditation in 2010. Tim was involved in multiple research programmes, including those investigating Fabry’s disease, obesity genetics and cardiac resynchronization.

Tim returned home in mid 2010 with his family. They moved to the north coast where Tim provides services for CardioNexus on the Sunshine Coast and Wide Bay.
