Lachlan Coleman

Lachlan graduated from the University of the Sunshine Coast as an Exercise Physiologist in 2014. That year he moved to England with his now wife and worked independently as a cardiac rehabilitation instructor. In 2015 he returned to Brisbane where his training in cardiac science commenced. He worked with GenesisCare (formerly Heart Care Partners) at the Wesley Hospital as an ECG technician. In 2016 Lachlan transferred to Bundaberg where he began his post graduate study in echocardiography.

Lachlan's training in a rural location exposed him to a broad array of complex patients in the private and public sectors. After completing his cardiac Diploma of Medical Ultrasound, and after 5 years experience with GenesisCare, Lachlan moved home to the Sunshine Coast ready for the birth of his first child. 

In 2019 Lachlan gained specialist exposure to a very specific caseload of complex cardiac pathology with Sunshine Coast Heart Specialists at the Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital. He assisted in the diagnostic workups and screening for catheter based interventions including coronary artery stenting, left atrial appendage closure devices, and transcatheter aortic valve replacements.

Lachlan joined CardioNexus in November 2020 and provides echocardiography services to the Sunshine Coast, North Brisbane and rural Queensland.
